Well after nearly a year long leave, I finally got roped back into playing WoW by a group of friends IRL who started playing. They all quit within 3 days (Who would've guessed? This has never happened to me before! Wait...), but I decided to stick around anyway.
I'm not going to ask for major changes to the class, since I'm sure I can find those a few pages in (but if something really really important but really really overlookable happened, feel free to say so).
After sitting around for some ridiculously long period of time trying to get my guild Kara ready beforehand, I logged in to find it had finally fallen apart. A quick chat with a raid guild my roommate and I had made friends with before quitting got us into it, and boom, finally into Karazhan. Oddly, this guild seems to have too many druids (if such a thing is possible) and far too many tanks. So, I've pretty much been taken from my old guild's prospective MT to just being brought along for DPS. My first couple runs of Kara went ok, and I was actually top on damage done by a fairly wide margin. However, I'd always like to improve so any suggestions are appreciated on my gear. I've got the S2 shoulders, but currently have the Aldor exalted shoulder enchant for tanking.
Also, I've heard of 'swing timers' but never really used one before. I know the GCD shown by default is pretty inaccurate, and I'm wondering how much this could help Powershifting. Currently I cannot for the life of me time it to get the energy without losing a tick of it in caster form.
Secondly: Any tips for Heroic Magister's Terrace? Specifically the Priestess fight. Reguardless of group composition anyone I've come in with seems to get scattered and spanked in under 20 seconds.
And finally, I'd like to say it's good to see so many of the familiar experts and veterans still around here and give a wave to Quor, Sir Jac, Teacake, Mazra, and everyone who I am sure I'm forgetting. -Foxkit 80 Holy Paladin (Shandris)
